Visitors coming from the European Union, members of the Shengen Treaty, are granted unrestricted entry. Visitors from member states that are not signatories to this treaty need an identification document. International visitors should have a valid passport, and in some cases, a visa to visit Portugal might be requested. See the list of countries whose citizens need a visa to enter Portugal by clicking Do I need a visa to visit Portugal?
Visa support letters can be obtained by sending email to the local chairs Filipe Quintal and Mary Barreto (sustainit2017_lc [at] m-iti [dot] org). Please note that it can take up to a couple of days to receive the letter.
All requests for support letters should include your name as it appears on your passport, mailing address, the names of any papers accepted to the conference for which you are an author, and a fax number or email address of where we can send the letter.
